Event Description

The 2009 Accu-Chek Cyclebetes Provincial Relay is a relay across Canada from Nova Scotia to British Columbia, covering over 10,000 kilometers. It kicks off tomorrow, Sunday, August 23 in Halifax, Novia Scotia. The first day will cover 67 miles on a route from Halifax to Truro, Nova Scotia.

Sunday is also the start of a record-breaking attempt for Cyclebetes Australia. Their team of 15 riders kicks off a Guiness Book of World Records attempt with a ride from Cairns to Melbourne in 7 days.

WatchMyRace is sponsoring the Accu-Check Cyclebetes team and supporting live GPS location updates as they make their way across Canada. Support the cause of curing Juvenile Diabetes and spread the news about the dedicated team of adult/youth riders making this journey.
