Biggest Bike Relay in the World: Day 1
The 2009 Accu-Chek Cyclebetes Provincial Relay is a relay across Canada from Nova Scotia to British Columbia, covering over 10,000 kilometers. It started today in Halifax, Novia Scotia at 7:15am. The team is now pedaling through the driving rain close to the finish of 67 miles on the planned route from Halifax to Truro, Nova Scotia.
Today is also the start of a record-breaking attempt for Cyclebetes Australia. Their team of 15 riders kicks off a Guiness Book of World Records attempt with a ride from Cairns to Melbourne in 7 days.
