The 2009
Accu-Chek Cyclebetes Provincial Relay is a 3 week relay across Canada from Nova Scotia to British Columbia, covering over 10,000 kilometers.
The Cyclebetes Canada team is joined by the record-breaking attempt of
Cyclebetes Australia. Their team of riders is on day 3 of a 7 day Guiness Book of World Records attempt from Cairns to Melbourne.
2 continents with bike relays to cure Juvenile Diabetes. It's the Biggest Bike Relay in the World (#bbrw on twitter) to Cure Juvenile Diabetes.
Day 3 in Canada
Day 3 was a 300 km trip to the NB/QC border, where the relay team will change over. The tandems were flying today, as reported on the team tweets at
@AC_Cyclebetes, "Mike and Megan hit highest speed for the day 65km/hr on the tandem :) willie and andrew killed the last 20km!" Tomorrow, after the relay exchange, it's 245 km on the planned route from
the NB/QC border to Montmagny.
