Janet is now in Illinois, after hitting Time Station 34 at the Mississippi River at 10:29am. At the time station she held a 1 hr 9 min lead over Daniela Genovesi, what a great race! The live GPS tracking shows her west of Time Station 35 in Greenville, IL. The field report from crew chief Bill Osborn, "Today Janet demonstrated how with it she is in spite of the physical and mental demands of this race. Back in Alton a cat was struck by a car. Janet stopped and tried to help. Alas too late for the cat and we rode on. Back in Hamel, she was cheered on by a group of folks sitting in lawn chairs in front of a retirement home. A very cool moment for all of us."
